How is technology helping us win against traditional and new competitors?
“Here at IMI companies we have been industry leaders since our establishment. We were the early adopter of virtual building, 3d modeling and prefabrication. We used that data to fabricate material in our shops and ship directly to the client’s site. Using 3D modeling gave us the confidence to build with accuracy and cut down our man hours. As the industry begins to catch up were constantly review our technology to gather if can get one more cool thing out of the model.”
How can we use technology to enter new markets?
“Here at IMI companies we have expanded our national mechanical construction team. We’re already in 27 states across the US & Virgin Islands and currently starting to expanding our footprint in the Nashville, TN area. Because we use 3D modeling technology were able ship material directly to those sites ready to install and service. With the help of technology, we can enter new markets with the confidence our delivering quality service in the same fashion as our local clients”

Explain how you navigated your organization and shifted technology priorities through the pandemic.
Once Covid-19 shut down the workplace, our company quickly leverage tools like VPN, MS teams and video conferencing to keep business going. Without those technologies if would have been difficult to maintain business objectives and remain a industry leader. While we missed the face-to-face meetings video conferencing delivered the medium for collaboration. Technology has played a significant role on growth in 2021 and we plan on making additional investment in that arena.
